RAS AL KHAIMAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to resume daily nonstop flights connecting Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode starting October 16, 2026. This route re-establishes a direct link between the UAE emirate and Kerala’s southern Indian region. Tickets are now available via the airline’s sales channels. The route will connect Ras Al Khaimah International Airport with Kozhikode International Airport, with Air Arabia announcing the service’s return on October 6.

The daily flights will provide travelers with an additional direct option between the UAE and India. Kozhikode, also called Calicut, is a key city along Kerala’s Malabar Coast. The announcement did not specify departure or arrival times nor the aircraft to be used for these flights. Flight numbers for the October restart have not been published yet. Customers can consult schedules at booking time for current details.
Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali expressed enthusiasm about the route’s revival, emphasizing that daily flights would facilitate easier travel between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode. The airline highlighted strong demand for travel between the two destinations, focusing on connectivity, frequency, and the confirmed restart date. Passenger forecasts or traffic estimates for this route have not been disclosed, and no additional operational changes were announced alongside the restart.
Expanding Ras Al Khaimah’s International Flight Network
The Kozhikode route will join other international destinations from Ras Al Khaimah, which include Cairo, Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar. Kozhikode will rejoin the list starting October 16. Since launching operations in May 2014, Ras Al Khaimah has remained a key hub for Air Arabia within the UAE.
The route initially launched on November 22, 2023, offering three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. These flights, operated by Airbus A320 aircraft, bore flight numbers G9 728 and G9 729. The new schedule will increase the frequency to daily flights, but the airline has not confirmed whether the same flight numbers will be used or provided operating times for the resumed service.
Tickets Available for October 16 Resumption
Passengers can purchase tickets via the airline’s website, call center, or travel agencies, as confirmed with the route announcement. The airline did not specify when the original Kozhikode service was halted or the reason for the interruption. No starting fares or aircraft assignments were disclosed; only the destination pair, daily frequency, and October 16 start date are confirmed.
Nearly three years after its initial launch, the nonstop connection between Ras Al Khaimah and Kerala is restored. The service will now operate daily, replacing the previous three-times-weekly schedule, providing a direct route between the two airports without stops. Travelers interested in exact flight times, fares, or flight numbers should check current booking details before traveling. Air Arabia has not announced any plans beyond the daily service restart for the Kozhikode route.
