SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to launch nonstop flights connecting Sharjah and Gdansk starting December 14, 2026, establishing a new link between the UAE and northern Poland. The airline plans to operate five weekly flights between Sharjah International Airport and Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport. Flights are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, providing Polish travelers in the Pomeranian region with direct access to Sharjah.

Air Arabia sets five weekly Sharjah Gdansk flights
Sharjah-Gdansk service adds northern Poland to Air Arabia’s expanding route network.

On Mondays and Saturdays, flight G9 0628 departs Sharjah at 4 p.m. and arrives in Gdansk at 8 p.m., while G9 0629 departs Gdansk at 8:50 p.m. and reaches Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the following morning. The midweek, weekend, and Sunday schedule features an 8:15 a.m. departure from Sharjah, with the return flight leaving Gdansk at 1:05 p.m. and arriving in Sharjah at 10:25 p.m.

Gdansk will become Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah after the airline’s scheduled December expansion takes effect. Currently, the airline serves Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport from its main base in the UAE. Additionally, flights to Katowice will commence on Dec. 17, 2026—just three days after the Gdansk route begins. The Katowice service will operate four times weekly, further expanding the airline’s Polish network.

Gdansk boosts direct connectivity with northern Poland

The new service to Gdansk introduces a Baltic coast destination to Air Arabia’s European network from Sharjah. The airline already serves multiple major European cities, including Athens, Vienna, Prague, Milan, Munich, Rome, and London Gatwick. Gdansk Airport caters to the wider Tri-City metropolitan area of Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, as well as other northern Polish regions. It offers both domestic and international connections for leisure and business travelers across the region.

Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali noted that Gdansk will enhance the airline’s presence in Poland. Gdansk Airport President Tomasz Kloskowski emphasized the importance of the direct link between the Pomeranian region and the UAE. The airport has identified Sharjah as a transfer hub for onward journeys to India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. Consequently, the new flights will connect Gdansk passengers to Air Arabia’s wider network via its hub in Sharjah.

Scheduled start in December with five weekly flights

Utilizing Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, Air Arabia has opened bookings for the Gdansk route. The airline lists flight G9 0628 for departures from Sharjah on Monday and Saturday, with G9 0629 operating the return legs. On Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, flights will depart Sharjah on G9 0626 and return from Gdansk on G9 0627. All scheduled times are local, and the route will operate nonstop both ways.

The December 14 launch will expand Air Arabia’s direct Polish connections shortly before the airline begins service to Katowice. With Krakow and Warsaw already in operation, the two December additions will give the airline four Polish destinations from Sharjah. Gdansk will feature five weekly flights, while Katowice will operate four flights weekly, according to the announced schedule. Air Arabia remains committed to the December start date and five-flights-per-week timetable for Gdansk.
