The airline commenced daily flights from Dubai International Airport to Don Mueang International Airport on July 1 and indicated that summer travel demand supported this rapid increase in frequency. The expanded flydubai Bangkok schedule will operate from Terminal 3 at Dubai International, offering two daily departures to Thailand’s capital and expanding options for both leisure and business travelers commuting between the UAE and Southeast Asia.
The additional Bangkok flight, together with flydubai’s increased Krabi services from four flights a week to daily, will bring its Thailand route total to up to 21 flights each week. Bangkok becomes flydubai’s second Thai destination after Krabi and is part of a larger Southeast Asian network that also includes Langkawi and Penang in Malaysia. This route provides the airline with a direct link to Don Mueang, one of Bangkok’s two main international airports, while offering more seats during a period when Gulf region airlines are expanding their schedules to Thailand.
Sudhir Sreedharan, flydubai’s divisional senior vice president of commercial operations, stated that the second daily flight follows strong early demand for the new Bangkok route. He noted that Don Mueang offers convenient access to central Bangkok and that the additional frequency provides travelers with greater flexibility during the busy summer travel season. The airline has not disclosed booking figures or passenger load data for the route. Nonetheless, the scheduled increase from seven to 14 weekly flights marks a significant expansion of flydubai’s operations in Thailand from July 18.
The Bangkok flights are part of the codeshare partnership between flydubai and Emirates. Through this cooperation, eligible passengers can book a single itinerary, check baggage through to their final destination, and connect across a combined network exceeding 240 destinations. The flights operate from Emirates’ Terminal 3 at Dubai International, facilitating connections for travelers arriving from or heading to markets across the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. The official schedule shows Don Mueang International Airport as the endpoint for both daily services, enabling a direct link between Dubai and Thailand’s capital.

Return Business Class fares from Dubai to Bangkok start at AED 12,000, while Economy Class Lite return fares begin at AED 2,600, according to flydubai. From Bangkok, return Business Class fares start at THB 91,000 and Economy Class Lite fares at THB 21,000. The airline explained that the route is operated using Boeing 737 aircraft and highlighted recent cabin upgrades, including lie-flat seats in some Business Class configurations, redesigned Economy Class seating, meal services, and inflight entertainment on most aircraft. Published fares are subject to availability, booking conditions, and travel dates chosen by passengers.
This increase in frequency coincides with flydubai’s ongoing expansion of its network and capacity. The airline recently launched operations to Benghazi in Libya and plans to commence flights to Aleppo in Syria on July 20 and Pokhara in Nepal on September 23. flydubai reports its network now includes over 140 destinations across 58 countries, served by a fleet of 97 Boeing 737 aircraft. Since starting operations in June 2009, the airline has carried more than 137 million passengers and has introduced over 100 new routes that previously lacked direct Dubai links or service from a UAE national carrier.
Summer Travel Demand Spurs Schedule Growth
For Bangkok, this rapid expansion follows the initial daily service launched on July 1. The new twice-daily schedule from July 18 establishes 14 weekly flights from Dubai to Bangkok, alongside seven weekly flights to Krabi, forming flydubai’s 21-flight weekly Thailand network. The additional flights can be booked via the airline’s website, mobile app, contact center, travel shops, and partner agencies. With the timetable set, travelers can compare departure options, fare classes, and onward connections through Dubai. This growth also enhances the Emirates codeshare network’s capacity to Bangkok during the busy summer travel season through Don Mueang Airport.
