AHMEDABAD, India/ RankWire.AI / — The United Arab Emirates and India are strengthening economic ties in sectors focused on future growth, with over 500 government officials, investors, and business leaders convening for the latest edition of the Investopia Dialogues in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This marks the fifth consecutive installment of the global investment forum held in India. The event brought together prominent public and private stakeholders to explore opportunities in logistics, food security, advanced manufacturing, financial services, tourism, and AI. UAE Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri met with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel during the summit. Their talks focused on expanding cooperation between Emirati companies and regional industrial hubs in Gujarat. Bin Touq emphasized that choosing Ahmedabad highlights Gujarat’s role as a prominent industrial and economic hub.

Abdulrahman Mohammed Alhawi, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Investment and President of Investopia, stated that the UAE contributes over 70 percent of total Gulf Cooperation Council investments flowing into India. He also noted that nearly 4,000 new Indian firms joined the Dubai Chamber of Commerce in the first quarter of 2026. Alhawi described the Ahmedabad dialogues as a strategic milestone to help Indian businesses access broader global markets through UAE financial centers.

Boosting Capital Movement Along Emerging Industrial Pathways

Major corporate announcements underscored the event’s economic impact. Retail giant LuLu Group revealed a 4,000 crore Indian rupee investment project in Ahmedabad, with Chairman Yusuff Ali M.A. describing plans for a 21-acre development featuring a shopping mall, five-star hotel, and serviced apartments. This project is expected to generate over 15,000 jobs. Additionally, the company is launching a food park and a fish-processing facility.

Representatives from Marjan Developers highlighted increased Indian investor participation in real estate and hospitality. CEO Sheikh Saqr bin Omar Al Qasimi stated Indian capital significantly contributes to transforming Ras Al Khaimah into an international destination. Sector executives from Silal Group, including CEO Dhafer Al Qasimi, participated in roundtable discussions on modern agriculture, cold-chain infrastructure, and supply chain resilience.

Enhancing Private Sector Alliances and Digital Infrastructure Development

Panel discussions emphasized the roles of sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and private equity in financing large infrastructure projects. Participants discussed strategies to simplify regulations and encourage capital flows into high-return sectors. Focus on technology transfer centered around strengthening digital infrastructure and advancing AI integration in manufacturing sectors. The aim was to boost the overall competitiveness of both economies in knowledge-driven industries.

The summit concluded with several bilateral meetings to finalize institutional agreements between participating organizations. Organizers stated that the platform will continue facilitating international dialogues to align private investments with broader macroeconomic goals. By emphasizing trade infrastructure, industrial technology, and joint ventures, the Investopia Dialogues are establishing predictable investment pathways that support global economic growth.
